Connecting MotaWord MCP to Claude AI

This guide walks you through how to connect the MotaWord MCP (Model Context Protocol) to Claude AI using the native Integrations interface. This enables real-time access to translation project data directly within your chat experience.

Once connected, you’ll be able to ask Claude questions like:
“Show me the progress of our legal contract translation.”
“Which projects are still under review?”
“Is the localization for our website completed?”

⚙️ What You’ll Need

✅ A MotaWord MCP-enabled account with OAuth support
✅ Access to Claude.ai’s Integrations panel (Pro plan required)
✅ MCP Server URL: https://api.motaword.com/mcp
✅ Developer permissions to create new integrations

🔌 Step-by-Step Setup

1. Open Claude’s Integration Menu
   Go to Settings → Integrations inside Claude.ai.
   You’ll see existing integrations like Google Drive, Gmail, GitHub, and more.

2. Click “Add Integration”
   Click the ➕ Add integration button to begin setup.

3. Fill in Integration Details
   In the pop-up form:

   • Name: MotaWord Translations
   • MCP Server URL: https://api.motaword.com/mcp
   • Authentication: OAuth
   • ✅ Enable: “I trust this integration”

   Then click Add.

4. Authorize Claude with Your MotaWord Account
   You’ll be redirected to sign in with your MotaWord credentials.
   Click Allow Access to authorize.

Claude will be granted permission to:

• View profile information
• View, create, and modify projects
• View, create, and modify translations
• Manage your integrations

5. Verify the Integration is Active
   After successful authorization, MotaWord Translations will appear under your Connected integrations list.

6. Use It in Conversation
   In any Claude chat:

   • Click ⚙️ Tools
   • Open Sources
   • Toggle on MotaWord Translations

   Now you can ask Claude:

“What is the current status of project 387JXA?”
“List all French projects in the review stage.”
“Get progress updates for marketing campaigns.”
